I Said NO!

I really did say No to NaNo. Several times. But then my sister talked me into it. She has a way of making me think I can do anything.

So I find myself  following my characters around and asking them for more word count. My eyes are glazed from too little sleep and too much coffee. But oh, do I love my story. It's a sequel to my soon to be released book, Jewel of Ramstone.

Yesterday I kept begging for word count from my heroine, Ruby.
After two chapters, she pulled an arrow from her quiver and armed her bow.

She pointed it at me and said, "Be gone, I grow weary of your incessant demands!"

At that point I figured I better find someone else to write about. What better choice than Galeron? Even Ruby cannot resist that hunk of a knight.

Yeah, I started writing about Galeron's hot body--in detail.

Uh...not a very smart move. I forgot to close the prior chapter and Ruby was still looking on. I'm still trying to pull her arrow out of my laptop.

See what NaNo does to my mind? And my laptop?

Yeah, I really meant to say No to NaNo.

  2. That was so cute, JM. I can actually see Ruby shooting an arrow at your laptop. Just be thankful that she didn't shoot at you directly cause she wouldn't have missed. Our Ruby is a real spitfire and Galeron will have his hands full.

  6. Tell the truth, Sis. You pulled that arrow out of something else. (heh heh)

Glad I talked you into doing Nano. Why on earth would I want to go through this insanity by myself???

  9. Ducking and dodging...yep that sounds like NaNo...you are braver than I. I dodged it this year for the same reasons as you...but good luck and keep on the lookout for arrows...
